52-Year-Old Woman Dies After Being Stabbed Multiple Times Near Long Islad Restaurant

A woman was killed after being stabbed behind a Long Island restaurant.

Nassau County Police Fifth Precinct officers responded for a 911 call for a stabbing in the rear of La Candela Restaurant in West Hempstead located at 205 Hempstead Turnpike at around 12:05 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29.

Upon arrival, officers located two victims: a 52-year-old woman who was stabbed multiple times and a 50-year-old man with a laceration to his hand.

Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Just before 4 a.m., the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead by a hospital physician. Her identity has not yet been released.

The man was treated and released.

The investigation is ongoing.
